Tarpon Springs, FL – December 30, 2024: St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral is honored to announce that Michalia Makryllos has been selected as the 2025 Epiphany Dove Bearer. The Dove Bearer plays a vital role in the annual Epiphany celebration, symbolizing the Holy Spirit and its connection to Christ’s baptism.

About the 2025 Dove Bearer, Michalia Makryllos:
Seventeen-year-old Michalia Makryllos is an active and dedicated member of the St. Nicholas community. She has been singing in the Cathedral choir for seven years and has also participated in the St. Nicholas Dance Ministry and Drosoulites. A senior at Tarpon Springs High School, Michalia is part of the Early College Program at St. Petersburg College. This May, she will graduate with both her high school diploma and associate degree. Michalia plans to attend an in-state university, majoring in Political Science, with aspirations of becoming an attorney.

When asked about her selection, Michalia expressed her gratitude:
“Being Dove Bearer means everything to me. It is not only a spiritual honor but also a cherished responsibility that connects me closer with my faith and my Greek Orthodox community.”
