Tours

Tours are divided into two parts that can be taken separately or together. The tours focus on the “go-to” sights you don’t want to miss when visiting Tarpon Springs. Tours start in the morning between 10:00 am-11:30 am. Call to schedule your tour.

Downtown Historic District Tour – A daily 45 minute narrated walking tour of (national registry) historic downtown Tarpon Springs. The tour starts at the Tarpon Springs Chamber of Commerce (1 N. Pinellas Ave #B)

• Historic Depot Museum Tour
• Tasting at Acropolis meat market
• Stops at eclectic shops
• Tour of the St Nicholas church

  • Combine tour #1 and #2. Transportation to the Sponge Docks will be provided by the Jolley Trolley

Historic Tarpon Springs Sponge Docks Tour – A daily 45 minute narrated walking tour of the Tarpon Springs Sponge Docks. Tour starts in the afternoon after the completion of the Downtown tour. Times vary so call to schedule. Tour starts at the Sponge Exchange (735 Dodecanese Blvd ).

• The famous sponge diver statue
• Learn about the sponge industry and local Greek culture
• See and learn about the Sponge boats at the working sponge docks.
• Get a taste of Greece with Greek wine, coffee, and bakery tasting.
• Get the OPA discount card to use at participating merchants.
• Cost: $12.95
• Tour Options
  • Enjoy lunch at an authentic Greek Restaurant (approx 12:30 pm based on Jolley Trolley Schedule) Additional $14.95
  • Sponge Diving exhibition boat ride (special reserved seating. 1:30 pm) Additional $14.95

Departure from Clearwater Beach

If you’re a guest at the South Beach or Sand Key hotels we depart between 10 am and 10:30 am for our 11:30 am tours in Tarpon Springs. You can return at your leisure, or not at all. Tickets are $5 roundtrip and you can pay the driver when you board. Call to make arrangements
